SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Surf Air has placed an order with Pilatus Aircraft for up to 65 PC-12NGs; 15 firm and options for an additional 50. The members-only airline is looking to expand its coverage across the U.S. and is currently only operating in California. Launched only 14 months ago, the Santa Monica-based company began with three aircraft based on a fixed monthly fee and unlimited service.

Pilatus' PC-12 is powered by a single Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67P turboprop.
