WASHINGTON - Smiths Detection, of Edgewood, Maryland, has been awarded a $9,510,995 modification (P00048) to contract W911SR-07-C-0080 from the United States Army to exercise the option to purchase 1,687 M4A1 Joint Chemical Agent Detectors (JCAD), six Platform Interface Kits and 116 Sieve Packs.

Fiscal 2014/2015 other procurement (Army) and other procurement funds in the amount of $9,510,996 were obligated at the time of the award. The estimated completion date is Sept. 30, 2016. Work will be performed in Edgewood, Maryland.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
