U.S. NAVY TO INVEST $214 MILLION IN KEY SYSTEMS TESTING PROGRAM

NEWTOWN, Conn. - The next several years should see steady funding to support for the U.S. Navy's Combat System Integration program. Warships are equipped with a wide variety of electronic equipment. In addition, many warships are being upgraded with new equipment. Integration testing is important in order to ensure that each piece of equipment and weaponry does not interfere with the performance of other equipment and weaponry. Based on an estimated projection of the FY15 defense budget, $214 million is likely to be spent on the effort over the next ten years.
