NEWTOWN, Conn. - The Artemis third-generation infrared search and track (IRST) system should be produced in steady numbers over the next few years for at least one major naval application. The French Navy will be calling on the system to perform all-important situational awareness for its emerging fleet of anti-submarine warfare (ASW) FREMM frigates. Other orders in the pipeline for FREMM could boost Artemis production, including one for Saudi Arabia for between four and six ships and one for Algeria for at least four frigates of this class. The likely need for spares and replacement units will also help drive production in the long term.

A report on the Artemis program is available from Forecast International.
