WARSAW - Poland plans to purchase the Poprad very short-range air defense (VSHORAD) systems. The Polish Ministry of Defense's Armament Inspectorate will negotiate with Polish manufacturer PIT-RADWAR. The contract should be signed before the end of 2015. Poland reportedly plans to acquire 77 Poprad systems. The Poprad system is equipped with four Grom ready-to-fire missiles. In the future, this system will carry the Piorun, an enhanced version of Grom.
