NEW DELHI - India plans to move ahead with the development of a new Point Defense Missile System. This system will arm Indian Navy warships.

This program is a joint design effort involving India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and MBDA France. The Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) cost of the project is Rs. 600-crore.
