PARIS - France's DGA recently announced the delivery of a third Reaper unmanned air vehicle (UAV). This is fundamental milestone before its operational deployment to the Sahel region, according to a DGA announcement.

This UAV will join the two UAVs that have been deployed on Niamey air base, in Mali, since the beginning of 2014. This third aircraft is a Block 1 model like the other two. None of these UAVs carry arms.

The delivery team took place in the United States. The air vehicle was tested for nearly a week at the Gray Butte flight test center in California. The delivery of this UAV to Niamey is scheduled for early May.
