KYIV - Ukraine has acquired small KS-1 unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) from Bulcomersks KS Ltd, a company located in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The KS-1 UAV uses a mobile catapult launcher and lands via parachute. The UAV has a range of 70 kilometers and carries a 1.5-kg payload. This contract is worth $714,000.

Bulcomersks KS is also offering M107A1 and 82A1 rifles, as well as training in their use. Reports claim the United States is using Bulgaria to provide arms and other equipment to Ukraine. Bulkomers KS is reportedly cooperating with AMI Global Security, a U.S. firm.
