TEL AVIV - The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militant group wants to use unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) to attack Israel. ISIS now refers to itself as the Islamic State (IS). A Canadian member of IS claims the group is developing its own UAVs and will unveil them in the near future.

IS claims engineers educated in the West are working on the UAVs.

These UAVs could perform attacks on targets in Baghdad, Kurdistan, Syria, "occupied Palestine" and the United States, according to the militant group. IS said the UAVs could be launched against the United States from sites in Mexico. Other members of the Islamic state are saying the group will soon carry out attacks against targets in the United States and Europe.

IS also is believed to have a presence in the Gaza Strip.
