ISRAEL USING UAVS TO MONITOR RAIL SYSTEM
Thursday, July 24, 2014
TEL AVIV - Israel is using unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) to support its security forces protecting its light rail system. The UAV is monitoring the security situation on the Jerusalem light rail. The UAV will hover over the train and provide security forces with real-time footage.

Unmanned aircraft will escort all trains as they move through Arab areas of the capital. Deployment of the UAVs is in response to widespread violence and attacks after the death of an Arab teenager. The Arab mobs caused enormous damage to the light rail system. The damage was estimated in the tens of millions of shekels.

The UAVs will help to enhance security around the rail system and put commuters more at ease.
