KENYA SEEKING RAVEN UAVS FROM THE UNITED STATES
Saturday, July 21, 2012
WASHINGTON - The United States is considering providing hand-launched unmanned aerial vehicles to the Kenyan military. A strong contingent of Kenyan troops entered Somalia after Islamic militants conducted attacks inside Kenyan territory. Kenya could receive eight Raven UAVs. These UAVs would be supplied as part of a $41.4 million military aid package to help four African countries fight al-Qaeda and Al-Shabaab militants.

Uganda received Raven UAVs in 2011.
