WASHINGTON -- The US Air Force has awarded Boeing a $17.5 million contract for C/KC-135 engineering sustainment support. The contract modification is to establish negotiated prices for option II for the contractor to provide sustaining engineering services for the KC-135 weapon system, including airframe and airframe components, mechanical and electrical systems, subsystems and their components.
Work will be performed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, along with subsidiaries in Huntsville, Alabama; and San Antonio, Texas, with an expected completion date of Sept. 13, 2019.
Fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds are being obligated at the time of award. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is the contracting activity.
